BELIEFS

The Walker Valley High School Counseling Department believes that all students are valuable and deserve respect.  All students have the right to access and benefit from a comprehensive school counseling program that assists with academic, social/personal, and college/career developmental needs.  We believe that all students can be successful learners with collaborative support and efforts among family, school, and community members.

VISION

The vision of the Walker Valley High School Counseling Department is to see students graduate with a strong academic foundation, integral problem-solving skills, and motivation to be independent life-long learners. The counseling program will help to empower students to create  and achieve goals, become independent thinkers, and leaders in the school and community.

MISSION

Our department is student centered and relationship focused.  We are dedicated to assisting all our students in realizing their worth and reaching their full potential. We will tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each student within their academy. Our goal is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge, personal and social skills and attitudes that will prepare them for higher education or a career path.
