Criminal Justice
I am the Criminal Justice teacher at Walker Valley High School. My background is law enforcement. From November 2004 until January 2018 I was employed by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office. I spent about half of that time in Corrections at the Bradley County Jail. I then began working uniformed patrol and was also a School Resource Officer for some time. I was promoted to the rank of Detective and spent time investigating and prosecuting narcotics related crimes as well as property crimes.
In January of 2018 I was presented with the opportunity to teach and was very excited to accept. I found during my time as a School Resource Officer that I enjoyed spending time with students and teaching them about the profession that was so dear to me. So coming to Walker Valley to teach Criminal Justice was a no brainer!
